Different Chillers

Chiller Types were created to satisfy the varied needs of industrial chillers. The range in types of energy that are readily available at an industrial or small scale has led to the evolution of water chillers. The variety of chiller types has allowed for adjustable energy input while using chillers.

Industrial chiller research has made choosing chillers easier in an efficient and reliable way. No matter what kind of energy you have on hand, there is no need to worry.

According to the sort of energy each user has, each form of chiller is designed to serve that consumer specifically.

                       Water chillers

Depending on the resources that customers or users have available, HVAC systems use several types of chillers.

A chiller might be the greatest choice for a specific application, but it might be too expensive or impractical for another application or plant.

HVAC water chillers are basically categorised based on the cycle that they operate on.

  • Compression chillers, electric chillers, or vapour compression chillers
  • Absorption chillers, ammonia chillers, lithium bromide chillers, or vapour chillers

HVAC Chiller Types:

The following criteria are used to further categorise vapour compression chillers.
  • Reciprocating compressor, rotating compressor, or screw compressor type vapour compressor chillers are the three different types of compressors.
  • Type of condenser, such as water or air cooled condensers or chillers that are cooled by water or air
While vapour absorption chillers can also be divided into the following categories:
  • Absorption chillers with direct fire (Natural gas, Diesel or Kerosene Oil Operated)
  • Absorption chillers with indirect firing
